On 06 February 2010, BMW Motorrad dealerships across the country will be celebrating the official launch of the updated R 1200 GS, R 1200 GS Adventure and R 1200 RT.
Each of these new 2010 models is now powered by a new version of the highly-acclaimed 4-valve Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) boxer engine, previously only featured on the HP2 Sport.
The new advanced engine management system has been optimised to meet the specific requirements of each of the motorcycles - the travel enduro riding style of the R 1200 GS range and the all-day, luxury touring use of the R 1200 RT.
In addition, the R 1200 RT Tourer gains a new style fairing, new switches and controls, and the latest version of BMW’s unique Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA II) as an optional extra, further enhancing its reputation as a sophisticated high-mileage tourer.
During the course of the Dealer launch weekend, customers will have the opportunity to book a test ride on these brand new motorcycles and take part in an exclusive World of BMW competition to win one of the World of BMW Activities – an Off Road Skills course at Simon Pavey’s school, a Road Skills course with BMW Rider Training or a BMW Tour to the D-Day Beaches of Normandy.
